General informationABOUT THE XXXI WORLD CONGRESS OF AUDIOLOGYThe World Congress of Audiology (till — 2010 International Congress of Audiology) is the biennial congress of the International society of Audiology. And is held in different regions of the world to discuss important issues in relation to audiology. The XXXI World Congress of Audiology which will be held in 2012 in Moscow, will be jointly organized by the International Society of Audiology (ISA) and Russian Society of Audiology. Official LanguageThe official language of the Congress is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Congress Identification BadgeA symposium identification badge will be included in the congress material provided on registration. There will be no admittance to the scientific sessions without the symposium badge. Invitations for social events will be collected on entry. The symposium identification badges will be also most helpful in contacts with other participants. Attendance CertificateA certificate of attendance will be included in the congress material provided. Outlets can be either "Continental Europe type" or "Europlug". TimeMoscow time is three hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Climate and DressThe weather is generally pleasant in April-May, with an average day temperature of 15-18 C. However, it can be changeable and participants are advised to bring a raincoat or umbrella. CurrencyAll payments in Russia are made in Russian rubles. You can change your money for rubles in commercial banks, numerous exchange offices, in hotels, just try to find a board with the inscription "Currency Exchange" on it. Most hotels, shops and restaurants, especially those, located in the city center accept all main types of credit cards. Sometimes you may be asked to show your passport or any other document to identify the credit card. These days the Russians use 10-, 50-, 100- , 500-, 1000-, and 5000- ruble notes. Coins are also issued: 1 kopeika, 5 kopeeks, 10 kopeeks, 50 kopeeks, 1 ruble, 2 rubles, 5 rubles and 10 rubles. It is useful to have some coins in a pocket.
